Fade to Black is Back

Tuesday, October 1st, marked the first Fade to Black party in nearly two years, but the fun came right back like we never missed a beat. For those who don’t remember or weren’t around for the last one (The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow) Fade to Black is a special post-performance party for the under-forty set. One low ticket price includes admission to the show, as well as drinks and hors d’oeuvres during the party afterward. How low is that ticket price you ask? Just $20!

For the Cabaret Fade to Black Party, special guests Karaoke from Hell (the famous live karaoke band who usually perform Monday nights at Dante’s) dropped in on the Armory, making everyone into a rock star, one party guest at a time. The pinnacle of the event was, of course, Storm Large singing Patsy Cline’s “Crazy,” but that didn’t prevent anyone else from taking the stage for their own three minutes of fame. The event was sold out, so be sure to get tickets to the next two Fade to Blacks in advance. The next events are Tuesday, January 29th for The Beard of Avon, and for Sometimes A Great Notion, Tuesday April 1. Save $10 and buy tickets to both Fade to Black plays for $30 per person. To purchase call the PCS Box Office at 503 445-3700 or stop in and mention FADE2 (online purchases not available, not good with any other offer or for the following plays: Twelfth Night, Doubt, A Parable, A Feminine Ending or Little Dog Laughed).
