TCG/Pew grant went out from Portland today. Second attempt. Chances
of it coming through are very slim. Still, it's all worth is,
somehow. Isn't it? Good to throw the hat in the ring. I
am constantly indebted to Chris Coleman, PCS Artistic Director, for his
relentless support of my work and career. It's a revelation to have a group
of people—PCS
staff—working
away to facilitate this idea with me. Rose Riordan, PCS Artistic Producer,
has been an incredible source of strength, encouragement and inspiration.
And
in
the
World-Works-in-Mysterious-Ways
Dept: Old friend from UCLA, Lisa Sanman-Smith moved to Portland with
her family and is volunteering at PCS with Development Dept. [and is now
employed as Associate Managing Director], and as she took on this grant
application we're in the thick of it again after
almost
20 years. All these people making all this effort. Keep fingers
crossed...
